Another Shot...
We had two stumps remaining on either side of the plum tree, so rather than having them ground out I painted terracotta pots to match the fence and planted them up with flowers.
It means I can change the colours each season (and I've got nowhere else to plant pretty annuals so it's perfect)...
My garden had been my saviour as well. Every day I see it grow just a little bit more at least makes me feel like I could have some fertility in my life. What kind of plums do you have? I'm thinking of planting a tree soon too. I hope you enjoy your holiday. :)
Nice work! I just spend the weekend in my garden-- I find it to be a meditative thing- as well as the creative side of making the outdoor area look lovely. The pots are a great idea. We have sort of a put out move out philsophy with the garden -- if the plants don't flower consistently I move them elsewhere-- eventually we find a place for them- a few times they have moved to someone elses yard- but mostly it is just a matter of light and wind.
